A band playing heavy music from Canada, DENISE was formed during lockdown between close friends old & new. After releasing the roiling, groove-based "Weeper" single, they dropped their incisive, gloomy EP "Guilt of Canada" in summer 2023. Post-rock, black metal and drone folk all bubble up together across five moody tunes about collective shame. DENISE opened for the Los Angeles-based ecstatic black metal band Agriculture on their inaugural East Coast tour stop in Toronto. Taking influence from extreme metal and art rock, DENISE prepare the ground for their debut LP in 2025.
